Milly gave me an email asking me to recommend some fashion-inspired art for her 'new abode'. Here's a few old favourites from my bookmarks.
Kelly Smith creates dreamy pencil-and-watercolour art inspired by the catwalk. You can get this lovely Nina Ricci print from her Etsy shop.
As well as drawing cute chubby birds, Kate of Little Doodles also has more than a passing interest in fashion. Her intricately detailed jewel-coloured watercolours are just gorgeous. Sadly I don't think she's selling them just yet, however Kate does take requests!
Kris Atomic's gouache-painted girly characters ooze charm and style. Pick up this 'Black and Gold' print (inspired by Fred Flare clothing) from her Etsy shop.
If you fancy stretching the budget, how about a David Downton print - famous for his work for Vogue (and M&S). If your budget won't stretch to this £300 print, why not pick up the book 100 Years of Fashion Illustration which he illustrated the cover of.
Hope that helped, Milly. If you have an art/design/fashion-related question you'd like me to research and answer on the blog, drop me an email.
