I was invited to Liberty on Monday morning to check out their new Dining and Outdoors collections. Could there possibly be a nicer way to start the week than roaming my favourite department store out of hours to gaze at pretty pottery and eat yummy breakfast nibbles? Nope, don’t think so.

The brand-new Dining Room on the third floor contains a beautifully-curated selection of pieces, from classic Wedgwood and Spode to exclusive Emma Bridgewater ranges. Plus there’s classic bakeware, colourful textiles and some vintage goodies – a veritable candy shop for the kitchen junkie!

I fell immediately for the Edwyn Collins bird-illustrated range of plates and mugs. Even without knowing the story behind the illustrations, these are beautiful delicate drawings that translate ever so well into ceramics.

I’m a sucker for vintage enamelware so loved all these pieces inspired by 19th-century tableware.

Lovely modern monochromatic Wedgwood by Jasper Conran.

Pretty in turquoise and cream from Spode Portmeirion and Lisa Stickley.

Exclusive Emma Bridgewater ‘Utility’ range, taken from her 1990s archive.

Mega adorable animal egg cups!

The new Outdoor collection, a ‘pop-up’ curated by fabulous RE, isn’t open yet but will take the place of the seasonal Christmas collection on the 4th floor. RE have created an outdoor living collection including garden furniture, tools and al fresco dinnerware – including both vintage and in-house designed items. Amazingly, they put the entire collection together in under 6 weeks – above is one of the mood boards. Since i’m just beginning to think of ideas for our garden (currently more of an ugly ‘yard’) this was very inspiring to see.

The new Dining Room at Liberty is open right now, and the RE pop up opens on April 6th.
P.S If you fancy going shopping this weekend, grab 20% off at Liberty in this week’s Grazia magazine. That makes it rude not to, right?

I've been drooling over this collection all week! I need a few of these pieces in my life!
Soooooo jealous!! I adore Liberty!! :)
Ooo so many nice things, I want them all! The Jasper Conran Wedgewood is lovely, and I adore the owl egg cups!
Oh I was meant to be here but I was too sick. Dammit, looks lovely indeed.
Although the new Spode Portmeirion range looks uncomfortably like Lisa Stickley's stuff. So much so, I thought it was.
Sian – sorry you couldn't make it :(
Pretty sure it's Lisa Stickley on the shelves and the Spode on the dresser, they were just grouped by colour – my fault in labelling!
Oh, then that's better :-) Goes really nicely together, doesn't it?
I was in here the other week with my mum – I wanted everything. I love the Edwyn Collins birds, I was only listening to an interview with him recently. So amazing. x
Ahwwww paradise'ish ;3;
Oh Katie, you lucky girl! Looks like Liberty have got it spot on.x
Oh I love the Edwyn Collins birds collection, just reading that story now too, very inspiring. This looks like a real haven, I'll have to try to visit next time I'm in London.
Ooooh sooo lovely! I wish I lived in London!
some of the prettiest things ever.
You have lovely stuff here! So nice and adorable. I like the cups so much.
God I love this!! I'm such a sucker for housey chintz. And I have a guinea pig egg cup. Boiled eggs don't get much better than when sitting on a guinea pig!
xx
Wow, jealous! I think my favourite is the Edwyn Collins birds. But they're all so gorgeous.
The birds are great.
