Josh got me a Lomokino for Christmas, and I took it out in the garden last sunny weekend. Happily I had a couple of co-stars in waiting: Yoni and the neighbours’ sweet kitty, Catty Cat. (These two used to hate each other but now they’re kind of buddies. I hope the same applies to Yoni and Lila soon…!)
When Lomography develop the film for you, they send the movie, the scans and each frame separately on a CD, which is handy. Here’s the full film straight out of camera.
And here are some of the frames and some little gif vignettes I made.
I’m rather pleased with the results, though I need to work on my steady hand! Any other ideas of things that it’d be fun to shoot on the Kino?

What great results, yours seems so clear compared to mine, were you using the close up button with it? I haven’t filmed anything that close yet…
Love the gifs too, what a fun idea!
Yes, I had the close-up button down for most of it. Your kino vids are great, I think it suits beachy/foresty scenes very well.
I think I’ll have to experiment with the close up now, it worked really well. Thank you, I love taking it to the beach the most I think.
I LOVE these!
SO awesome!! I mostly want a lomokino just to make videos of my cats too! :)
My boyfriend bought me one for Christmas too-I haven’t used it yet,but so excited to!Love your results!x
Ah it looks great! I love the shots of Catty Cat against the blue sky.
Made me think of the Straight8 competition, where you make a film and edit it all in-camera using an old Super 8.

Perhaps you could run a similar in-camera lomokino film comp?
Lomo themselves are running a Lomokino movie competition at the moment!

These are gorgeous Katie, such a lovely effect. I really want one now! I’ve had a normal HD video camera for a few years that I’ve hardly used, but I’ve started taking it out with me and shooting a few things. It’s so addictive! xx
